Given the current situation that is impacting our community, we would like to invite our community to participate in our upcoming We Are Mendon event on Saturday, April 11, 2020. This event encourages our residents to stay home and decorate their property with stuff they already have, such as signs, holiday lighting, Halloween decorations, chalked driveways, or with whatever you can think of. We welcome you to leave messages of encouragement and support to those who may need it. Don’t forget to try and include a sign with the hashtag #WeAreMendon, so your community can follow the event on social media without having to leave their homes.

This event is being held to try and bring some cheer and joy back to our community during theses challenging times. Our officers will be heading out the evening of April 11th to judge participating houses. While we are out driving around we will be also be uploading photos to a live-time photo album for all to see. We encourage participating households to come on out when they see us driving by to show their community spirit and provide some cheer. There will be a first place, second place, and third place chosen. The winning households will receive gift cards to local restaurants. 

To participate, all you need to do is decorate your property by 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 11th!  If you want to make sure your property doesn’t get missed, you can register your property, voluntarily at no-cost, by clicking the registration button below.
