About the Cadet Program
Overview:
The Police Cadet Program is designed to provide young individuals with the opportunity to gain insight into the workings of law enforcement, develop valuable skills, and prepare for a future career in policing. Our cadets are integral to our community outreach and engagement efforts, playing a crucial role in fostering positive relationships between the police department and the public.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Age: 18-24 years old
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent and enrolled in college.
- Background: No criminal record.
- Commitment: Attend monthly training and abide by all rules and regulations set forth by the Mendon Police Department.
Program Benefits:
- Hands-on Experience: Participate in ride-alongs, assist with community events, and learn about daily police operations.
