Mendon Police Introduce New Badge

Mendon Police Department

The Mendon Police Department has introduced a new badge design, updating its look to reflect the department’s connection to the community. This new badge replaces the 2017 design, created to commemorate Mendon’s 350th anniversary and featuring an aerial view of the town.

Seven years later, as the department looks ahead to a new year, the updated badge prominently features the Mendon Police Station, a building made possible through the support of the community and dedicated to the memory of Chief Matthew Mantoni. The station, central to the department’s operations since its completion, also played a pivotal role in achieving accreditation in 2024.

Designed by Chief Kurczy, the updated badge highlights the department’s ongoing commitment to innovation and public service. “The police station featured on the badge is a reminder of the strong relationship we have with the community and the collaborative efforts that allow us to continue improving public safety,” said Chief Kurczy.

Unveiled as the department prepares for the year ahead, the new badge symbolizes progress and a renewed dedication to public service. The Mendon Police Department remains committed to building a safer, stronger community through continuous improvement and collaboration. The badge, now part of the standard uniform, reflects this focus while honoring the department’s progress and the community’s trust and support.
