Arrest Made in Recent Breaking & Entering Cases

Mendon Police Department

Mendon, MA — On Saturday, September 2, 2023, Oliver Williams, age 35, of Saunderstown, RI was arrested in connection to a series of breaking and entering incidents that have been affecting local residents over the past week.  


Williams was arraigned on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Milford District Court on multiple charges including Breaking and Entering in the Daytime, Breaking and Entering for a Misdemeanor, Receiving Stolen Property, and Larceny from a Building. Judge Richard Eustis ordered the defendant held on $50,000 bail without prejudice.


The Mendon Police Department was assisted by the Massachusetts State Police’s Crime Scene Services Unit, the Woonsocket Police Department, and the North Kingstown Police Department.


This matter remains under investigation and no additional information is being released. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.


While this arrest marks significant progress, the Mendon Police Department urges residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to secure their homes. Simple actions like locking doors and windows, setting up a security system, and being aware of unfamiliar activity in the neighborhood can go a long way toward deterring criminal activity.
