Pink Patch Project

Mendon Police Department

The Mendon Police Department is excited to announce our participation in the #PinkPatchProject. We will be joining over 390 law enforcement agencies across North America for this challenge. The Pink Patch Project is a public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research organizations in combating this disease.

As part of this campaign uniformed officer will be allowed to wear a vibrant pink version of the department patch on their uniform each October during “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”. Allowing this change in uniform is intended to stimulate conversation with the community and to encourage public awareness about the importance of early detection and the on-going fight against this disease.

Patches are available for order through the Mendon Police Association at mendonpoliceassociation.com. Proceeds from the sale of the Mendon Pink Patch Project patches will go directly to fund the research, treatment and education needed to help find a cure through the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
